Drill tap centres from Ahmedabad-based Voltas Limited have close-grained cast iron rigid structure and highly responsive feed mechanism, which using anti-frication LM guides provide excellent component accuracies. Free access to the working area and overall ergonomics ensure easy operation. Change over from one component to the other is fast and easy, thereby allowing excellent utilisation even for short batch production. The 8,000-rpm spindle allows rapid material removal in drilling, tapping, milling, and boring. Use of optimum cutting parameters provides greater utilisation of cutting tools. As a standard, all machines are laser calibrated for compensation of pitch error and backlash.
