Bangalore-based HMT Limited manufactures CNC vertical machining centre - VMC 400, which is a moving column type machining centre with a table of size 600 mm x 400 mm and has Y and Z axes movements on the column and X axis movement on table.This machine built on thermally stress relieved vibration-free rigid structure, ensures high rigidity to maintain higher levels of accuracy. This new machine is ideal for applications in automobile industry, defence production, railways, tool room applications as well as in small-scale industries and educational/training institutions.This machine has high precision high performance spindle powered with 5.5 kW/7.5 kW maintenance-free AC servomotor ensures large metal removal rate with sufficient power for extensive milling with latest carbide cutters. Spindle speeds of 40-4,000 rpm with immediate start up speed of 4,000 rpm in less than a second, facilitates high speed machining of non-ferrous metals. Arm-less ATC with 12-tool magazine with fast tool change time of 7.5 to 8 seconds ensures higher productivity. The X/Y/Z axes travel is 400/400/420 mm/min and the feed rate of X/Y/Z axes is 0-2,000 mm/mm.
