Vertical Milling Attachment

Shenoy Engg offers Vertical Milling Attachment that adds right angle milling/drilling capabilities to any horizontal milling and boring machines. The vertical attachment consists of a flange which integrates the attachment with the machine through an adopter. The adopter has a male taper which matches with the existing female taper of the machine. A circular T-slot provided in the flange enables the attachment to tilt to any desired angle, so that profiles like taper, etc, can be machined. A widely spaced and distinctly graduated collar on the flange enables precise tilting and positioning of the attachment. A pair of spiral bevel gears provides drive to the spindle. The spindle is supported by taper roller bearings in the front and roller bearings in the rear. The spindle taper of the attachment can be ISO/MT/Metric/BT. A draw bolt is provided to hold the cutter in the spindle. The castings conform to Grade-25 and are thermally stress relieved. The spindle, adopter and spiral bevel gears are made of case hardening steel, case hardened and ground/lapped. The bearings are lubricated for life with molybdenum sulfide grease and the spiral bevel gears are grease packed. The input and output spindle speed ratio is 1:1. It is also possible to mount the attachment on vertical spindles of the machines like plano-milling, vertical boring, etc, so that side milling capabilities can be added to these machines. The company also undertakes reconditioning of the old right angle attachments of any make.
