Pune-based Sparkonix (India) Pvt Ltd manufactures EDM machines - SN 15 that are suitable for processing inserts, single cavity moulds and dies. These machines provide uniform and good surface finish and has built-in anti arc. The rhomboid quill of these are hardened and ground. Ground lead screws with pre-loaded needle roller bearings are provided for slides. Time totaliser, auto flush timer, auto pos, multiple-outlet flushing system are some of the features of these machines. These are table-mounted machines with precision coordinate movement for the worktable. Total space required for a machine is 2 x 2 square metres. Double door system facilitates easy setting and job checking/inspection. The size of the tank is 500 mm x 300 mm x 200 mm. These machines with table of size 300 mm x 200 mm have long/cross travel of 150 mm x 100 mm. Quill travel is 150 mm and the maximum working current is 15 amps. MRR of graphite to steel is 90 Cu mm/min and that of copper to steel is 70 Cu mm/min.
