Sonisat Machine Tool Accessories offers Deburring Brushes manufactured by Brush Research Mfg Co Inc, USA. These are abrasive nylon monofilament brushes. Deburring, edge blending, surface finish, cleaning, etc., can be done using miniature brushes in precision die, textile, medical equipment and microelectronic manufacturing. Applications include finishing of ferrous, non ferrous metals, automatic and robotic machinery, deburring where two or more holes intersect within a part to clean threads after tapping operations, deburring multiple edges simultaneously to blend an inside edge, etc. The user can choose from a wide range of diameters and abrasive filament types. Drill size diameter starts at 0.256( and is available up to 0.032( in both aluminium oxide and silicon carbide. Grit concentration is up to 40% by weight. The grit is encapsulated within flexible nylon filaments of varying sizes and degree of stiffness. The nylon filaments are held together by twisted stainless steel wire, which holds the filament in place for easy mounting on handheld or fixed tools. With slow rotation, the abrasive nylon filaments can deburr edge blend, clean or finish metal and other surfaces. Series 81 AY brushes should be used slightly oversized. Multiple edges may be finished at once. Fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed as the nylon in the filaments slowly wears away.
