Close/Open centre wedge type chuck

Sharp Chucks and Machines offers chucks that are power operated and are of close/open centre wedge type. These chucks are designed such that there is an increase in production within given tolerances of job with high gripping power. The body of the chuck has high tensile strength at high speeds. Jaw mounting serrations are precision form ground and are available of 1/16?x90 Degree pitch and 1.5mmx60 Degree pitch. Steel body with all wearing surfaces are hardened and ground while the base jaws are made of nickel-chrome alloy steel. Features: -Wedge/Piston is made of nickel-chrome alloy steel, case hardened and precision ground, designed to bear the high forces. -Complete system of internal lubrication with grease. -Safety system in unlikely cases of accidental breakage. -Maximum recommended speeds are based on the speed at which 20% of the static gripping force is lost due to centrifugal force.
