Carbide Single Roller Burnishing Tool has a carbide roller mounted on bearings that rotate on a hardened and ground axle. The carbide roller is spring loaded in both two axial directions to ensure the right pressure during burnishing operations. The worn out carbide roller can be reconditioned by regrinding / lapping thus giving long tool life.

The tool with carbide roller is suitable for all outside surfaces including ODs of shafts, taper shafts, radii, shoulders etc. and can be used on CNC lathes, turret or conventional lathes. The turned surface can be burnished upto 0.1 - 0.2 µRa.
The tool, put in working position, follows the same way carried out by turning with the same RPM to obtain desired surface finish.
This changes a CNC turning centre to a Finishing Centre by using Mech-India Carbide Single Roller Burnishing Tool.
