Cosmos Impex offers You Ji heavy-duty ram type Vertical Turning Lathes. These are designed for heavy-duty and high power cutting of medium and large parts. Meehanite cast iron frames and box ways ensure the machines have the rigidity to handle heavy cuts. These VTLs also boast geared table drives that generate tremendous table torque. In addition, a heavy-duty spindle motor coupled with a 2-speed ZF gearbox delivers plenty of torque for heavy-duty machining as well as the high speeds needed for fine finishing. Highlights: heavily ribbed column and base minimize vibration and thermal distortion; tremendous torque generated by spindle motor through a 2-speed gearbox; and heavy-duty spindle construction endures heavy axial and radial loads. You Ji VTLs are ultra-precise, using precision Class 3 ballscrews driven directly by servomotors instead of belts or gears. Also, The X and Z axes are a box way design with Turcite B applied to mating surfaces and hand scraped for perfect fit and alignment. The cross rail is moveable in set increments and automatically latches against fixed stops. These highly reliable VTLs, designed for stand alone applications or easy integration into production lines, can also be customised to meet virtually any production requirement. Custom options include larger tool changers, extended column for tall parts, twin rams with twin ATCs and much more.
