Vertical Turning Centre With Two Parallel Spindles

Scherer-Feinbau introduces a vertical turning centre with two parallel spindles which can be moved individually in two axes, thus allowing for two-sided machining or simultaneous machining of two workpieces. The centre is used for chucked part machining of rotationally symmetrical workpieces. The undersquare workpiece size is up to 100 mm in diameter. The tool carrier is designed as linear arrangement and/or disk turret with optional tool systems. The turning centre comes with a short cone A4 DIN 55026 spindle head, a 7.5 kW spindle motor and a spindle speed of up to 10,000 RPM. The workpieces are taken by the spindles from the workpiece pick-up position and are also deposited.
