Dilip lathes from New Dilip Industries are robustly designed and suitable for mass batch production. They combine all the features expected in production lathe with great efficiency and are ideal for all sliding, surfacing, and screw-cutting operations. The various technical features available are: hardened and ground bed ways; maximum swing over the bed – 320 mm; maximum swing in the gap – 500 mm; maximum swing over cross slide – 190 mm; admit between centres – 740 and 1030 mm; and maximum facing diameter – 330 mm. The main spindle is threaded nose type 60 mm dia x 8TPI, with MT-5 type spindle sleeve bore. The sturdy tailstock has MT-3 type quill bore having a quill travel of approximately 115 mm. “Dilip” lathes having a very wide variety of attachments could also be supplied with taper turning attachment, rear tool post with long cross slide, Norton gearbox, reversing arrangements for main spindle, and hydraulic copying attachments.
