The offset FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 for fitting screws where space is tight at up to 10 Nm is the shortest and the lightest offset screwdriver in its performance class The FEIN ACCUTEC ASW 9-10 delivers consistent process reliability. It was developed for fitting screws in tight spaces with defined torque under industrial volume assembly conditions and is extending the AccuTec offset screwdriver family.

Compact design for fitting screws in tight spaces

At only 36 centimetres long (including the storage battery), the FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 is the shortest offset screwdriver available, delivering process reliability at up to 10 Nm. With these dimensions it is designed for screwing applications where space is tight. The small angled head can be continuously adjusted through 360 degrees giving additional flexibility for fitting out dashboards in automobile production, for example.

Long tool life for long usage

Like all FEIN AccuTec devices, the ASW 9-10 is equipped with a maintenance-free, brushless EC motor. Compared to traditional cordless shut-off screwdrivers with carbon-brush motors, FEIN screwdrivers achieve around 30 per cent higher efficiency. This means that more screws can be fitted per battery charge. The FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 has a torque range from 1.5 to 10 Nm (test range: 3 to 10 Nm). It operates with a storage battery charge of 9.6 V and at a speed of 330 rpm. With the individual components complementing the modular design, the FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 offset screwdriver achieves long service life and cuts down on maintenance and spare parts costs.

Precision screw fitting in high-volume assembly

Screw fittings under industrial assembly conditions need to be accurate and the screwing process reliable. All FEIN AccuTec screwdrivers are tested for compliance with ISO 5393 and VDI/VDE 2647. Irrespective of the application, tightening torques remain consistent and precise. The CmK value of the FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 is > 2 with a tolerance of +/-10%, with reference to 6 Sigma. This guarantees that the screw connection is of a high quality with little deviation from the mean. The FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 offers high repeat accuracy for both hard and soft screw connections. With soft screw connections, the torque is absorbed as it increases.

Ergonomic design for fatigue-free operation

The FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 is exceptionally well-balanced. Optimised weight distribution means that it is possible to operate it with one hand. The ergonomic design and soft start ensure fatigue-free operation, putting less strain on the operator and extending the service life of the motor and gears. At 1.4 kg, the FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 is the lightest cordless offset screw driver available to maintain high levels of process reliability at up to 10 Nm. A range of different tool holders and storage battery models provide flexibility The FEIN AccuTec ASW 9-10 is supplied with three different tool holders: a ?” square head, a ¼” square head and a ¼” hexagonal socket. On request, the cordless screwdriver can also be fitted with tongue tools. The FEIN AccuTec screwdrivers are available with NiCd or NiMh storage batteries.
