Asaco offers Clamping Device, RGK3-20. This rolling ring drive for a shaft diameter of 20 mm, built according to the latest insights, offers high quality at a surprisingly low price. Nevertheless, its series features include continuous pitch adjustment, automatic reversal, a release lever for freely moving the drive, and maximum corrosion protection. Lifetime tests have proven this new concept"s suitability for permanent industrial operation. This rolling ring drive is for a shaft diameter of 15 mm and equipped with the same features as the RGK 20. The FA even detects and compensates for different spool positions on the winding shaft without making a manual readjustment of the traversing system"s limit stops necessary. The most vital component is a light barrier travelling with the traversing system. When one of the spool flanges interrupts the light beam, it sends a signal to have the traversing system pneumatically reversed. FA is either mounted immediately on the tried and tested rolling ring-traversing system or on an intermediate carriage. The forked light barrier features a forward angle that changes with the direction of the traversing system. This compensates for system-inherent switchover delays. At constant coil speeds, a simple relay circuit processes the signal while a PLC is used where the coil speed reduces with a constant material speed. The light barrier has proven to be a reliable solution in cases where heavy soiling occurs and where light and reflection conditions vary. Easy Lock shaft collars with adjustable clamping force are used to secure spools on shafts and the U-Clip, an easy clamping system to fix spools on shafts.
