Threaded Wheel Grinder

Gleason Works (India) offers Threaded Wheel Grinder, Model 300TWG. For grinding of cylindrical gears with diameters up to 300 mm and module 5, the new 300TWG is capable of significantly reducing floor-to-floor times vs. conventional grinders. Using direct-drive spindles and the latest Siemens CNC and Gleason software, the 300TWG can take full advantage of the latest multi-start grinding wheels, thus improving the production rate by 5 to 10 times that of conventional single-start wheels. In addition, it’s equipped with a Gleason diamond-plated master dressing system that can dress a multi-start grinding wheel in the same time, or less, than the grinding time of one gear – regardless of the number of starts. (Also available with conventional CNC dresser). The 300TWG also comes equipped with a high-speed 2-station ring loader, with easy integration of a spin-dry station if needed. This machine offers the highest productivity and flexibility at the same time: different dressing methods for different requirements from mass production to prototype production available; master dressing gear or double flank dressing disc for mass production; single flank dressing for high flexibility – one dressing tool to dress grinding wheels with different pressure angles and modules; and contour dressing for the highest flexibility for profile modifications. Unique software features include: twist controlled grinding to avoid or control for a certain amount of twist; patented Variable Rate Method (VRM) grinding to achieve a better surface texture for quieter gear sets; grinding of segmented gears; ring loader for fast loading of gears and shafts; optional spin station to remove the oil after grinding; loading device for a safe and fast wheel change in less than one minute; and latest direct drive spindles for highest dynamic and speeds. Working area: gear diameter – up to 300 mm; and module range – 0.5 - 5.0 mm.
