The Wafer Shaper Cutters are designed for high production applications in external or internal gears and splines of spur or low helix angle configurations.
- The highly efficient cutting geometry increases productivity on standard or CNC gear shapers, it consists of a replaceable wafer blade, accurately held by a clamp and backup ring.
- Tools run faster and stay on the machine longer, no machine setting changes are required at tool changeover.
- Suited for high production applications where it can be justified on a cost per part basis, when compared against the costs associated with resharpening and recoating conventional cutters.
