Grinding Extension For Long Reach

SUHNER’s new Grinding Extension System, “from a long reach”, makes difficult places accessible to grind. With the new extension system, professionals can now grind, mill and polish places that previously were inaccessible: in the far corners of containers and moulds, on deep lying welds, and on the insides of thin tubes, to mention but a few. The idea is as simple as it is ingenious: extensions that are connected between the flexible shaft and the tool. The outer tubes of the extension elements are made primarily of stainless steel and come with an “inbuilt” flexible shaft for the transfer of forces. The new system design can be used not only with the Suhner flexible shafts, but also directly with electrical or pneumatic drives. The user can then opt for the pneumatic machine LRG 20 or the electric drive URG 9-R. The extensions can be connected easily to the flexible shaft or the drive machine. Despite the tight and reliable connectors, the elements can be changed within seconds. For grinding and polishing work in far corners, there is a range of attachable straight or angle hand pieces and, of course, efficient abrasives. The new extension system is available in three standard lengths with matching adapters: 250, 500, and 1000 mm. There are also special designs available from 1000 mm to 5 m in 50 cm steps. There is therefore no limit to the possible applications.
