Manu Engineering Works offers a portable Precision Drill Grinder, which can increase production and reduce cost in a workshop in three ways, viz.,

• Can easily be used by anybody in the workshop as it is not complicated but simple in operation yet precise and fast; one can renew the point of one drill in 30 seconds, and being portable and light in weight can be put anywhere in the workshop where drilling is performed and frees the supervisor for other important jobs
• Can save few dozen drills by using this grinder and looking at the cost of drills, recover the cost of the machine within a few weeks or months depending upon the consumption of drills in the workshop
• Production will definitely increase because the drills are kept sharp, the sharpened drill penetrate faster with less efforts. Holes drilled with sharpened drills will be perfectly round, straight and well within tolerances and thus saves rejects.

All important cutting angles are provided in the machine to suit the material like a soft, hard, thin, wood, rubber, fibre plastic or any other type. The grinding operation is very simple. One has to place drill through the machine, adjust to required angle, adjust rear bracket, in position to overhang the drill approx 1/16” to the lip rest, tightens the clamp and secures the lip rest. The drill is now ready for grinding. Adjust the bottom slide forward gradually by feed screw until the drill point touches the side face of emery wheel, in grinding use a light touch to swing attachment back and forth as shown in the photograph advance drill gradually through use of micro feed screw until entire surface is ground. Grind second lip in the same manner without changing any other adjustments, do not grind in one sweep, and use a series of slow and short sweeps until drill passes through to prevent the drill to burn.
