The cylindrical grinding machines are available in stroke length 400 mm to 2000 mm and centre height from 100 mm to 275 mm. These machines are equipped with various attachments to increase the utility of the machines for various production applications. The variants in cylindrical grinding machine include universal grinding machines, external grinding machines and internal grinding machines. Accuracies achieved in grinding on above machines are finer to the tune of 0.001 mm to 0.002 mm depending upon length and diameter of the job. The surface finish achievable on grinding is close to 0.1 micron to 0.4 microns. Belt driven precision internal grinding spindles are manufactured under controlled environmental conditions and are dynamically balanced to achieve higher speeds. The inputs used for these spindles include super precision imported angular contact bearings in matched Pairs. Special high speed synthetic grease, suitable for the life of the bearings is used in these spindle assemblies. The spindle shafts are made of alloy steels and duly heat treated. These are further subjected to sub-zero treatment for dimensional and geometrical stability. The grinding spindles are offered in diameter range of 36 to 120 mm and length range from 75 to 1500 mm.
