Cylindrical Grinding Machine

Atul Machine Tools offers a range of cylindrical grinding machines. The base is made of high grade alloy cast iron, designed to make easy movement of table slide, with V-ways and flat ways duly hand scraped to fine tolerance to achieve highest accuracy. The table is composed of two parts – "slide" and "table". The slide moves on V and flat ways of bed, ensuring very smooth longitudinal table movement. The upper table can swivel for external and internal grinding jobs, with fine setting arrangement. Workhead and tailstock are both detachable and adjustable when required. Workhead alloy steel spindle has been made for revolving as well as stationary centres. The spindle is fitted with workhead can be swivelled up to 90° towards grinding wheel, and 30° towards operator for taper and conical grinding. The tailstock spindle runs in a honed bore is spring loaded for quick release. Morse tapers are arranged for dead centres, fitting in workhead spindle and tailstock spindle noses. The drive to workhead spindle is given by an electric motor through V-belts. The wheelhead is designed to ensure maximum rigidity and smooth operation. The spindle is fitted with white metal taper bush. The grinding wheel is fitted on a taper nose mounted in wheel-flange, arranged to balance for vibration free operation. The drive is given by an electric motor through V-belts. Wheel head slide lining with anti-friction material "Turcite-B".
