This compact machine configuration for 6 CNC axis, base, and column made of cost irons, which provide good vibration dampening. Work head is placed on C-axis (tool swivel) enabling precision tools and high accuracy ball nose end mills. Quick-change draw-in type collet system is provided for run out repeatability of 0.005 mm at 50 mm. Twin-grinding spindles can accommodate maximum 8 grinding wheels (4/spindle). Other features: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for estimation of structural rigidity; programmable steady rest for small diameter tools manufacturing; patented spherogrind technology for high accuracy ball nose grinding; high productivity - reduced cycle time due to 2 spindles and optimised strokes; complete tool manufacturing in one set-up; gun drill resharpening - hollow clamping arrangement to facilitate gun drill holding; optional menu driven software with a facility to define point with 5 different clearances; possibility to grind even the twin lip gun drills; long tools manufacturing and resharpening - innovative steady rest with micro adjustment facility; and 3D simulation - optional 3D interface provision with Vericut/SystemV software.
