SUHNER India offers a new Belt Grinder, Model UTG 9R. Pipe grinding is one of the most complex jobs in metal working, in particular, when stainless steel finishing must achieve a flawless surface. With new UTG 9R belt grinder SUHNER is presenting a specialist whose hallmark is high metal removal rate and easy to handle. The patented design features an adjustable and pivoting contact roller for circumstantial grinding. The drive roller of new UTG 9R presents a larger diameter, an optimised geometry and a new material for reliable transfer of its 1050 W of output power. The belt wraparound on the pipe is as high as 220 Degree limiting the wraparound angle to the maximum value prevents the risk of overheating, distortion and discoloration on thin walled pipes. The special arrangement of rollers facilitates grinding on pipes of dia 20-70 mm. Not only the impressive drive power, also high belt speed of 4000-9000 rpm serves to enhance further the material removal rate. The optimal belt speed for every application can be set at the drive’s continuous electronic control. Besides performance and economy, also safety is assigned a central roll for all SUHNER tools. For instance, the grinding belt is exposed only over the grinding section. Grinding belts are available in coated, non woven and trizac designs in a range of grain sizes for all application.
