LMT Fette offers Milling Cutters. The two milling cutters Twincut-Feed and HSC-Feed achieves high or very high feed rates when the milling depth is low. These tools have now been introduced successfully and are regarded as successful representatives of the new "high feed-rate milling cutters" performance category. Twincut-Feed indexable blade tool uses well-proven blade geometry with an optimised cutting-edge pattern. With three cutting edges and a large internal pitch circle, the necessary fracture resistance for high feed rates is assured. Small angles of attack and an optimised number of teeth make for a 'soft cut' and smooth running, factors of particular importance when the feed rate is almost the equivalent of a regular fast forward or return speed. A typical feature of the HSC-Feed VHM milling cutter is its robust construction with stable core cross-section, a guarantee of high process reliability and cutting-edge stability. HSC-Feed can be run with the same high feed rates as its larger counterpart: high feed rates at low milling depths ensure high metal cutting performance and keep machining times to a minimum. With Twincut-Feed and HSC-Feed, the performance potential of milling machines and machining centres can be utilised to the full extent, across a previously unattained dimensional range from 4 to 80 mm.
