Accumax Engineering manufactures tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) circular saw blades. These are widely used for cutting various applications such as hard and soft wood, plywood, tea bush, pencil, sugar cane, bamboo, veneer, block boards, laminated boards, particle boards, fibre boards, panel boards, printed circuit boards, fibre glass, nylon, PVC, FRP, bakelite, laminates, hylam, asbestos brake linings, acetate, acrylic, melamine, paper, plastic, aluminium, copper, zinc, magnesium, lead, bronze, brass, iron and steel including exotic steels. The steel cores of the TCT saws are made from high quality steel precisely heat treated, parallel ground, scientifically straightened and tensioned. Highly wear resistant tungsten carbide tips are selected as per application and are silver brazed on to the steel cores. The tip geometry is selected depending on specific applications to ensure faster and burr free cutting with excellent finish and long life. Continuous stage inspection and quality control ensures that each TCT saw is produced to highest quality standards. Accumax TCT saws for cutting non-ferrous metals are designed with tip geometry having a chip breaker tip which cuts the long chip formed during cutting operation to avoid damage to work piece, followed by two tips having different tooth geometry to ensure a clean cut and minimum noise. Accumax TCT saws for ferrous metals are fitted with suitable grade tungsten carbide tips. The tip geometry is specially designed for ferrous metal cutting, with suitable angles. The saw therefore gives excellent cutting performance in otherwise hard to cut metals. These saws ensure maximum accuracy and vibration free cutting and have a long life. Present manufacturing range: diameter 150 to 2000 mm; and thickness 1.5 to 12 mm.
