Horizontal Basket Peeler Centrifuges

Various models of horizontal basket peeler type centrifuges from Whirler Centrifugals Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad, are particularly suitable for dewatering of maize starch. These can also be used to process sulphates, phosphates, nitrates, carbonates, acetates, PVC, protein, etc. Basically these are continuous, batch operation centrifuges; typical batch cycles comprise of feeding-drying-washing-re-drying-scraping (discharge) and repeat processes. During all these operations, the basket continuously rotates at full operational RPM. The sequence of operations is controlled either manually or by a control panel involving synchronous timers. The time-cycle for individual operations can be set to suit the product characteristics. The centrifuges are available in seven different models with basket diameters 630, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1725 and 2100 mm. They can be adopted for an output of 6 to 200 TPD of dry maize starch when applied to a maize starch plant. Different combination of materials of construction and sizes can be offered for specific applications. These centrifuges are also offered as GMP models, to be installed in sterile environment, or as vapour tight, nitrogen blanketed models for explosive and/or destructive products.
