P M Diesels Limited manufactures vertical diesel engines ? FMS 6 rated on the effective horsepower at engine crankshaft as a maximum load for continuous running. Engine cooling is efficiently handled by a run-through water supply. A radiator or a cooling tank could also be provided if required. All internal moving parts are lubricated with system, but parts such as valves and push rods could be lubricated with oilcan. A sensitive centrifugal type Governor is mounted on camshaft gear wheel. Speed variation is controlled within limit to comply with ?B1? Class Governing as mentioned in IS 10000 ? (Part-7) 1980. Oil bath type air cleaner is provided to clean incoming air. Use of clean air increases the life of cylinder liner. Each engine is tested as per IS 10001-1981 to give continuous rating. Standard equipment of the engine are pulley, spanner set, screwdriver, oiler, starting handle, air cleaner, silencer, fuel tank, and hose nipple.
