Visteon Automotive Systems India is a manufacturer of radiators, evaporators, heater ventilators, air conditioners, compressors, cooling modules, intercooler, air-con hoses, front end modules, cockpits, instrument panels, instrument clusters, fuel delivery modules, diesel vent modules, starters, alternators, moulded and painted plastic parts, and embedded software. Established in 1997, the company manufactures the auto parts and assemblies at its well-equipped manufacturing infrastructure at Chennai and Bhiwadi. Catering of OE clients like Maruti, Ford and Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the company also exports its products to other markets of the world. With much emphasis on quality, the company is part of the US-based Visteon Group. The radiators find application in various automobiles. They are constructed of a pair of header tanks, linked by a core with many narrow passageways. Executing the task of transferring the heat from the fluid inside to the air outside, thereby cooling the fluid, which in turn cools the engine, radiators are made of stacked layers of metal sheet, pressed to form channels and soldered or brazed together. Modern radiators employ plastic and aluminium for light weight construction.
