The new reliable 1.8° step motor that is microstepped to 25,000 steps per rev is available. Size 11 medical motor is designed specifically for use with mechanical manipulators employed in neurosurgery applications. It weighs just 0.2 pounds and feature a 1.1 inch diameter for performance where space is at a premium. The motor is constructed with pins and a locator dowel which allows easy assembly by technicians wearing rubber gloves. It is designed to be sterilized with alcohol, and facilitate the assembly of the machine in a sterile environment. One user is known to have tested the motor by sending it through six steam cleaning cycles in an autoclave for sterilization the motor still performs optimally. Speciality motor products, motion control systems and support services to a variety of North American manufacturers are also offered.
