Empire Magnetics has introduced the latest in cost effective waterproof motor technology – the "Rubber Duck" (patent pending). Encapsulated in caustic resistant fluoro-elastomer, the Rubber Duck is ideal for most applications where fluids are present and where aseptic conditions must be maintained. The Rubber Duck is safely and fully washable due to stainless steel mounting flange and motor shaft, and including shaft seals, gaskets and leak proof cable entry. Applications include food processing, pharmaceutical, marine, chemical, oil field, and many more. Features: initially available in the 23 Frame size, with three additional frame sizes to come. Rubber Duck motors are filled with FDA approved inert oil and pressure equalised for reliable submerged operation to 30 feet. Class F windings allow the motor to operate at higher internal (155°C) temperatures.
