Driveroll Electric Motor

The smallest powerised roller in the world is the 50 mm diameter driveroll roller, which is an electric conveyor roller with its own self contained power transmission system. The driveroll roller is very simple and easy to operate. No bulky drives are required to power the system. By simply inserting the driveroll roller into the frame and connecting the leads to a power supply, the conveyor system becomes operational. There is no need to provide elaborate safety guards over moving parts. These rollers are available in stainless steel and aluminium tubing. Special driverolis are also available, where the tubes are typically modified with groves for driving adjacent rollers. Polyurethane and soft PVC covered tubes are also available for improved traction or cushioning and noise reduction. Tapered roller tubes are also available for powered roller curves. The driveroll roller operates at a safe low voltage (24 DC). These electric rollers are high torque devices with lots of reserve power. The driveroll is also easily reversed with simple controls. A double throw switch or a solid state electronic control board can be used to provide dynamic banking.
