Drum Motors
The JoKi drum motor is a new generation environment friendly energy saving positive drive. It is the latest development in material conveying, designed and built with the motor and gearbox inside the tube of the roller for use on belt conveyor applications. It needs to be installed under the belt conveyor (in place of the head pulley), and plugged to a power point. This is much simpler than the elaborate conventional drive with a pulley coupled to a gearbox with other accessories like guard, chains, plumber blocks, etc. Advantages of JoKi drum motor are: easy and quick installation; no maintenance is needed except for an oil change after every 10,000 working hours; occupies very little space and reduces the cost of additional structure required for balancing; high efficiency of 97% and starting torque of 200%, no power loss; very safe as all moving parts are enclosed, is water and dust proof: and, ISO 9002 approval. The range is from drum diameter 80 to 800 mm, drum width 262 to 2000 mm, power 0.025 to 132 kW, and belt speed 0.08 to 4.5 m/sec.
