Disc-Magnet Motors

Escap disc-magnet stepper motors are available with a wide range of performances. The very low inertia of the rotor, combined with the high energy density of the rare earth magnet, allows these motors to attain very high acceleration and power rates. These characteristics, coupled with a high peak speed, ensure that incremental movement can be achieved in the shortest time. In addition, the disc-magnet motors are available in a power range from 5 to 250 W, with holding torques of 12 Nm to 1.6 Nm, offering very high efficiency, power/volume and power/weight ratios. Portescap can also offer the Escap range of electronic circuits adapted to the high performance levels of the disc-magnet motors for full-step, half-step and microstep operations. Escap products are developed, manufactured and distributed by the Swiss industrial group Portescap.
