Variable Speed Drive

Trans Coils Pvt Ltd has introduced a mechanical Variable Speed Drive, Model Y1 and Y2. Model Y1 has CCW output, whereas Model Y 2 has CW output. The output direction remains same, irrespective of change in input direction. With input of 1800 RPM, the output speed is continuously variable from 0-400 RPM. Although the speed is continuously variable, this is the positive drive. The zero speed amounts to declutching of the input. This is a constant torque drive having 60 in.lb torque at any speed. This feature has been extensively exploited for web tension control in jet looms in textile industries and winding industry. The drive has numerous applications, where variable speed is the requirement. The drive is normally provided with a lever to change the speed.
