Variable Frequency M4 VLT Micro Drive

Danfoss Industries Private Limited, a leader in mechanical and electronic components and solutions, has launched the M4 frame size version of its VLT Micro Drive. The M4 VLT Micro Drive is the latest addition to Danfoss’ prominent VLT series of Drives and has the ability to operate from a three-phase power range of 380 to 480 V AC and generate 11 to 15 kW.

The M4 VLT Micro Drive also has smart features such as IP-20 protection, a built-in RFI filter, a smart logic controller, built-in AC and DC brake functions and intelligent heat management; also, a detachable Local Control Panel (LCP), which can come with or without a potentiometer, an LCP copy function as well as a panel-front mounting kit.

“The M4 VLT Micro Drive is a breakthrough in VLT Drive technology with special features such as an Automatic Energy Optimiser function that ensures the drive will consume less energy, while an Automatic Motor Adaptation feature leverages the motor's full operating potential,” said Ravichandran Purushothaman, Regional Vice President Asia Pacific, Danfoss Motion Controls Division . Due to Danfoss’ highly effective power modules the VLT® drives are extremely energy efficient. 98% of the power supplied is utilised in the application and only 2 % is lost through the drive system.
