Drilling Machine, 25 mm

The SI 25 mm drilling machine is well-known for its robust construction and suitable design, both for the production and tool room applications. This is a standard pillar type machine with rack and pinion. It executes operations in wide range of drilling, reaming, tapping, boring, counter-boring in steel casting and other materials. Design and construction: the head is integrally cast from heavy duty closed grain cast-iron; the quill carrying spindle is precisely ground to slide in precisely honed bore; the head can be raised, lowered or swung to any required position by releasing the locking device a safety ring is provided to prevent accidental unlocking; the splined spindle in deep-grooved ball bearings is driven by an electric motor through V-belt of four step pulley properly balanced to prevent vibrations; the hand operated sensible spindle feed is measured by a calibrated feed depth gauge; properly machined square table surface is provided with tee slots and plains slots, and can be adjusted vertically by means of rack pinion mechanism it is also capable of revolving fully through 360° (only in 8" centre).
