HBL Power Systems Limited, since 1985, has manufactured and supplied a wide range of Batteries worldwide, for specialised applications. The range includes lead acid batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries and specialised batteries for defence requirements, in brands as diverse as Optimuz, Invamagic, Xcell, Josh, Josh Plus, Ride On, Diezel and Photolite. The company’s initial business strategy was to identify technology gaps in India and fill them up by indigenous efforts. With a focus on engineered products and services, the company moved into new businesses and markets that utilise these batteries, such as industrial electronics, defense electronics, and railway electronic signalling, etc.
