Cooling Unit, Energy Saving

Rittal?s new energy-saving cooling unit series ? known as ?Cool Efficiency? ? is raising the bar in terms of environmentally friendly and cost-effective climate solutions. State-of-the-art compressor and fan technology is helping to lower energy consumption and cut operating costs. Cool Efficiency units consume up to 30 per cent less energy than their predecessors. The TopTherm Plus wall-mounted units of the SK 3304 series are taken as the basis of the new Cool Efficiency units in the 1,000 W class. A combination of the latest compressor and fan technology, an optimum arrangement of heat exchanger components and matching coolant filling capacities delivers significant energy savings. The new energy-saving series cuts energy consumption by up to 30 per cent compared to predecessors while providing the same cooling output. Compared to standard cooling units with a refrigeration factor of 1.4 and annual energy consumption equivalent to Rs 15,000/-, the energy costs of the Cool Efficiency cooling units amount to just Rs 10,000/- with a refrigeration factor of 1.9. The new climate units cause less CO2 emissions. Standard units emit 405 kg CO2 per year compared to only 121 kg CO2 from the new Cool Efficiency solutions. The calculations are based on operation at 70 per cent full load and 30 per cent no-load, with the units running 16 hours a day, 240 days a year. The units are equipped as standard with nano-coated condensers and integrated electrical condensation evaporation. Additionally, they deliver a constant degree of efficiency and minimum maintenance costs.
