The gas passes through a series of angled vanes that impart inertial forces on the remaining liquid droplets. The droplets strike the vane and are removed from the flow stream by gravity. This type of separator is preferred when the vessel size is governed by size of the mist eliminator itself and not the process conditions. Also preferred for gases containing solid particulates, viscous and sticky liquids or in cases where large slugs of liquid occur. Efficiency: 100% (at 10 µ ), Turn down: 25%
