Strainers

Bhatia Engineering Company offers strainers for use in pipelines. The streamline body of the filters causes smooth flow of the fluid resulting in minimum pressure drop. They are also used on the suction and discharge side of the pumps for filtering liquids such as water, lubricating oil, fuel oil, molasses, in order to filter the fluid to avoid damages to the appliances in the pipe lines. The filter body is designed to meet the regulations for a particular range of pressure. The element is designed with appropriate perforations and filtering ratio to suit the fluid to be filtered and to give lower pressure drop with an appropriate safety factor for the differential pressure quoted on the filter"s name plate. These single filters are used where the plant or the filter can be isolated by means of stop valves for cleaning the filter elements. Flanges are drilled as per DIN-ND or ND 16. These are available in sizes from 20 mm to 1600 mm and above and in pressure rating of 10, 16, 20 and 40 kg/cm^2. Fuel and lubricating oil filter are also supplied with steam heating oil inside the filter body or with steam jacketing. Filters can also be incorporated with magnetic elements to trap the magnetic particles of the oil.
