Filter Cartridges

Riya Electrodes offers Ultra-Clean-Filter Cartridges. This uses polyester fleece as filter medium. Advantages: a very even and dense structure, therefore, "bypass-effects" as known from paper based filters do not occur; due to the special structure of the polyester a filter density of up to 1µ can be reached whereas paper based filters will not go beyond 3 to 5µ; paper based filters sometimes tend to rip when exposed to sudden, high burst of pressure as occur in modern wire EDM machines, which does not happen with polyester fleece due to the higher mechanical reliability; and in paper based filters most particles make their way into the filter media itself and gradually reduce the effectiveness of the filtration process, whereas with polyester fleece, particles collect on the materials surface and not inside of it. The characteristics of this high-tech filter add up to a better overall quality for all EDM work. Ultra-clean-filter cartridges have up to 50% more surface than traditional filters of similar size. A patented progressive way of folding the new filter material, in combination with the thickness of 0.1 mm compared to 0.5 mm, increases the usable surface by upto 50%. The life cycle is extended by about the same amount. Ultra-clean-filter cartridges are equipped with powder coated metal parts. The advantages are: less machine corrosion; de-ionization resin can be used for a longer time; less secondary sparking during the erosion process; fewer wire breaks; all parts that come in contact with the de-ionized water will have a longer life span; and changing of used filters is less messy.
