Candle Filter

Ell Ess Engineering offers Candle Filter. The conventional plate and frame filter is very cumbersome to operate and maintain. The filter cloth has lo be scrubbed for cleaning. The entire assembly will have to be opened out every time for washing, resulting in the surrounding area becoming dirty. The operation and maintenance of this unit is labour oriented. This has led to the design of a Candle Filter wherein the cleaning operation is done in closed circuit. In EEE's candle filter, candle consists of a bag, stiffened by a metallic element. The single bag support system consists of seven equidimensional tubes. Six tubes are arranged concentrically around one central tube. The six tubes are provided with horizontal draining slots. The number of candies varies depending upon the size and requirement and arranged in rows. Each row of candies is connected to one main header. This enables thorough and dependable cleaning effect. Each row of candles can be independently and quickly disconnected with ease, which permits it to be lifted out for maintenance. This filter is ideal for direct filtration or with precoat. These candle filters are used for the filtration of the following: nickel catalyst, paints, boiler feed water, pigmented lacquers, miscella, glycerine, mineral oil, polyalcohols, polyester, glue, ammonium nitrate, potassium hydroxide, phosphoric acid, zinc chloride, sodium chloride, methanol, acetone, benzol, oil lacquers, glycol, trichloroethylene, hexane, bleaching earth, silversalts, lime, lecithin, chromic acid, gelatine, photographic emulsions, ethanol, detergents, butanol, chloroform, styrenes, rinsing baths, electrolytes, galvanizing baths, enamels, hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid.
