Basket Centrifuges

NSI Equipments offers Basket Centrifuges. These are used to separate solids and liquids by centrifugal force using a filter media (usually a cloth) mounted over supporting mesh, which are together supported inside the rotating basket. The slurry to be filtered are fed through the feed nozzles to the basket and due to centrifugal force the liquid forced out through the filter media while solids are retained within the filter media inside the basket. These solids then separated, are discharged by various discharging methods viz., - manually, bag-lifting basket, through scrapper operated manually/pneumatically/hydraulically, for which different models are available. All centrifuges can be supplied either in 3-point type suspension or the newer 4-point type mounting (on visco damper/sordino damper) anti vibration mounts. The advantages of 4-point mounting are: level of vibration much lower and operates very smoothly, can be easily mounted on upper floor; can be easily relocated; almost negligible maintenance cost for suspension/mounting system; the working areas are free from abstracts and clean area can be maintained; additional weight of motors are taken care by additional supporting points and the vibration dampers are almost maintenance free. These are available in various materials of constructions, viz., carbon steel, stainless steel, rubber lined and halar lined.
