Slurry Valve

VAAS Industries offers a range of bi-directional valves designed to handle difficult media such as abrasive slurries. The two-piece bolted body design slurry valve, Series 700 features a specially contoured, reinforced elastomer peripheral seal that provides bi-directional bubble-tight isolation. The "no-restriction" flow bore is equal to schedule 40 pipe bore. Options include a polyurethane bore liner that provides added protection to the body from erosive damage. The construction of the valve allows quick and easy replacement of the seal at site. The valve is being offered in a 50 mm to 600 mm size range with pressure ratings up to 20 bar and is available in cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel and special alloys. The Series 700 valve is primarily intended for use where the uni-directional knife gate range is insufficient in view of flow situations that would exert pressure on the closed gate from either direction. This valve is also recommended where minimum pressure drop is a desired feature. The design is not generally suited for handling powder material and special purging arrangements may be necessary in such applications.
