Solar Water Pumping System (VSWPS)

Vikram Solar offers Solar Water Pumping System (VSWPS). Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Sunlight can be converted directly into electricity using Solar Photovoltaic's (SPV). Since solar radiation is intermittent, solar power generation is usually combined either with storage or other energy sources to provide continuous power. This solar power can be stored in a battery bank and consumed whenever required. For grid connected system there is no requirement for storage as the power generated is fed into the grid directly through power electronics. The company’s solar-powered pumping systems are specially designed to operate in areas where no reliable electricity supply is available. Solar energy is converted into electricity by photovoltaic solar panels. The process occurring in the solar panels is an entirely static process, and the only moving part in the whole system is the motor/pump unit. With this system, power bills and operating and maintenance costs are eliminated. Photovoltaic solar pumping systems have many advantages the most obvious one is that there is a natural relation between the availability of solar energy and the water requirement. Applications: drinking water, village water supply, irrigation, garden watering, wildlife water supply, and livestock watering. Main components of the solar PV power generating system: solar PV array of requited capacity to generate power, solar charge controller unit to regulate the power, a battery bank to store the power (not required for solar pumps), and high efficient power inverter to convert the DC to AC for powering conventional loads.
