Vikram Solar offers Solar Power Packs (VSPP). Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity. Sunlight can be converted directly into electricity using Solar Photovoltaic's (SPV). Since solar radiation is intermittent, solar power generation is usually combined either with storage or other energy sources to provide continuous power. This solar power can be stored in a battery bank and consumed whenever required. For grid connected system there is no requirement for storage as the power generated is fed into the grid directly through power electronics. Power outages, or blackouts, occur when there is a disruption in the generation and distribution system of the power company. The most common causes of power outages are storms and power shortages. Thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rain can damage or destroy the power lines, switchgear and transformers that deliver power to your home. The most critical electrical devices in a home are typically some lights, TV and computer and even refrigerators. If such outages are frequent, then a Vikram Solar Power Pack should be considered. The capacity of these power packs varies starting from a few hundred watts to several kilo watts depending on the load and hours of usage per day.
