Pump Shaft

The life of a pump shaft increases by several times by hard surfacing the area which comes under the gland. Hard surfacing materials are tungsten carbide, cobalt, chromium oxide ceramic, alumina titania mixture applied by HVOF process of thermal spray technology. Metallizing Equipment Co (MEC) is servicing the pump shaft manufacturing industry for repairing and providing wear resistant coating with the necessary equipments and engineering consultation and field assistance. MEC HVOF system, Model HIPOJET-2700 is operated by oxygen-LPG/propane gas to make the flame and powder is injected into centre of the flame by very precise powder feeder and coated the pump shaft to the required thickness.
