PTFE (TEFLON) COMPONENTS

Fluoro Tech offers PTFE (Telfon) Components. PTFE has a unique combination of properties: resistance to chemical - PTFE has an outstanding chemical resistance and is un-affectected by almost all chemicals and solvents except alkali metals, fluorine under certain conditions and some fluorine compounds at elevated temperatures; weather resistance - PTFE completely unaffected by outdoor weathering; moisture resistance - PTFE absorbs no-moisture practically; thermal resistance - PTFE has the widest working temperature range than any other plastic material, i.e., (-250°C to +260°C) and does not support combustion; frictional resistance - PTFE possesses the lowest coefficient of friction; its static and dynamic coefficients are almost equal; it exhibits no stick-slip movement; non-stick characteristics - very few materials tend to stick to surfaces of PTFE; it is non-wetting and self lubricating; electrical properties - PTFE possesses excellent dielectric properties which are essentially constant at all frequencies and over the temperature service range of it; and besides, it is an excellent insulator. Areas of applications: engineering - pivot bushes, piston rings, slide bearings gaskets, cord seal, thread sealant tape, thrust bearings, nuts and bolts, etc; electrical - coaxial cable connectors, bar insulators, spaghetti tubing, high tension insulators, antenna insulators, etc; fluid handling - gaskets seals, expansion joints, bellows, diaphragms, valve and pump components, flexible cord packing, etc; and non-adhesive - covering for bakery rollers, candy moulds, lining for feed hoppers and chemical pumps, etc.
