Hall Screw Package

Systems and Components (India) has introduced the Hall Screw package, in a wide range of capacity from 286 to 2500 m3/hr in 12 models. Salient features: unique single screw design with single piece casing and side covers for internal access; long mean time between inspection 25,000 hours as per Lloyds register of shipping; locally available standard bearings and shaft seal in an unlikely eventuality; non-metallic star rotors allowing marginal lubrication and hence simple oil circuitry with no running oil pump; and factory-built pack complete with oil separator, oil cooler, economiser, PLC panel, motor and starter, duly piped, wired and tested. Standard scope: the Hall Screw package is a factory-built unit comprising of hall single screw compressor, oil separator, oil cooler, supporting motor base frame, motor with coupling duly aligned, suction/discharge stop valves, suction strainer, oil pump (if required) oil piping, valves and fittings. The Hall Screw single screw positive displacement compressor is designed for the compression of all refrigerant gases for industrial refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. It can be driven by 50 or 60 Hz electric motors, turbines internal combustion, gas or diesel engines. Only three basic moving parts are involved – main rotor which meshes with two diametrically star wheels – a geometry opposed which results in minimum bearing loads and a balanced action without any power loss between the rotor and stars. The machine incorporates a high efficient capacity control mechanism to regulate the capacity with corresponding reduction in power input. The design of the casing gives complete access to all parts without removal of the machine from its installation and associated pipe work and insulation.
