Axial flow fans

Abbott Air Systems offers axial flow fans, manufactured as per IS-3588 standard. Cylindrical casing is fabricated out of mild steel sheet with adequate sizes for fine clearance as is practicable. In the simple form of unit, air approaches the impeller in as axial direction and leaves with a rotational component due to work done by the impeller torque. Thus the absolute velocity of leaving air is higher than the axial velocity. Cast aluminium impeller with blades, which are of aerofoil section runs inside the casting with fine clearance. There are six blades and seven blades in the impellers. Variable pitch impellers can be provided as well to maintain the pressure and capacity of air. The impeller is directly mounted on the motor shaft but it can be supplied with V-belt drive and the motor fitted out side the casting. The impellers are statically and dynamically balanced to avoid vibration and minimum wear tear of running parts. Motors fitted in axial flow fans are to standard makes like Kirloskar, GEC or NGEF (3 phase, 415 V AC 50 Hz TEFC) or flameproof motors in special cases.
