Centrifugal blowers

Centrifugal blowers

Abbott Air Systems offers centrifugal blowers manufactured as per AMCA 210 standard. The casing is robust in construction and constructed out of suitable sections of mild steel/stainless steel. The housings are free from all defects. The sheets are cut with nibbling machine to avoid deformation. Welding of casing is done with fixtures and DC welding sets to avoid distortions. The casing is aero dynamically designed for maximum efficiency. Being the heart of the blower, the impeller/rotor is suitably designed for required combination of air quantity and static pressure. It is machined after careful fabrication. The hub of cast iron is machined within close tolerance. The impeller is made in one piece and securely keyed in the shaft. The rotor along with other un-machined rotating part is statically and dynamically balanced so as not to cause any vibration. The shaft is machined out of EN- B forging or suitable material and has close tolerance at the rotor, coupling, pulley and bearing diameters. The size of shaft is calculated on basis of proper stress, which does not exceed 30 per cent of its static limit in tension or 18 per cent of tensile strength. The shaft is designed at least 20 per cent higher speed than the normal operating speed. The bearings are normally ball or roller bearings and are suitable to take up necessary radial load as well as the axial thrust. Sleeve bearings are provided in special cases.
