Wiped Film Evaporators

Alpha Process Engineers offers Alpen Wiped Film Evaporators. These are ideally suited to meet the following objectives. They are: 1. Vacuum distillation of heat sensitive materials and viscous materials; 2. Evaporation of organic compounds (like solvents in solvent recovery); 3. Decolourising and de-odourising of materials of medium and high molecular weights; 4. Concentrating solids in solution (like in the food industry, etc); and 5. Purification of drugs. The evaporator is designed to meet applications referred above, specially catering to the needs of the chemicals, drugs and pharmaceuticals, food processing (including oil extraction), plastics etc. Its application also includes vacuum distilling of waxes, oils, fatty acids and vitamins at pressures in the region of 0.05 to 0.2 Torr. Description: material of construction – stainless steel; operating temperature – up to 300°C; operating pressure – full vacuum to atmospheric; capacities offered – up to 15 sq.m evaporator surface area; delivery period – 3-6 months; and process – liquid-liquid and partial solid-liquid separation.
