Wiped Film Evaporator

Alpen Wiped Film Evaporators (WFE) are designed to meet liquid-liquid and partial solid-liquid separation in chemicals, drugs and pharmaceuticals, food processing (including oil extraction), and plastics industries. The evaporators feature the latest in wiped-film technology. They incorporate a unique rotor configuration, the wipers and liquid-entrainment separator in a manner that permits short-path distillation. An internal condenser minimises the pressure drop and allows high vapour flow rates to be achieved with relative ease. Suitable ports are provided for the feed, product residue discharge, distillate discharge, vacuum connection, jacket inlet/oudet/drain and condenser cooling medium inlet/outlet. User areas include: vacuum distillation of heat sensitive materials and viscous material, evaporation of organic compounds (like solvents in solvent recovery), decolourising of materials of medium and high molecular weights, concentrating solids in solution (like in food industry, etc) and purification of drugs.
